With three albums to their credit, members of the group Ibrahim Keïta and Nankama, are told « Les Apporteurs de Joie » (« The Donors of Joy ») .
All come from ancestral griot families, they modernize traditional Mandingo rhythms, blues, salsa, afro-beat, reggae or funk. Congests at the djembe, from n'goni to kora, they handle perfectly all the traditional African instruments. Ibrahim Keïta is a modern griot, poly-instrumentalist, and immediately carries us with his passion, a legacy transmitted by the old griots, guardians of the stories and music of honest men.
The group Ibrahim Keïta and Nankama was formed in Burkina Faso in 2010 with a desire to share through their music and theirs joie de vivre, human warmth and traditional savoir-vivre that they have inherited from the ancients.
